[1] ----- Commons Refrigerator -----
The commons refrigerator had to be cleaned out today due to a health code violation. If anybody had any food stored in tupperware containers in the commons refigerator, it has been moved to the Old Dorm fridge. In the future, there will be rules for storing food in the commons refrigerator posted on the door (for example, you must write the date on the container when you stored your food, so we can throw away food that's left in there for too long). Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks!
Brian and Brian (bgb1@ and btb1@)

[2] ----- Relay for Life -----
Will Rice: Hey Will Rice!
A bunch of us are doing the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event this Friday (April 17th), and we would love your support!
http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR/RelayForLife/RFLFY09PL?team_id=418281&pg=team&fr_id=17587&fl=en_US&s_tafId=290713

That link will take you to our team webpage, and from there you can make a donation to the (totally awesome) Will Rice team to help fight cancer (because cancer sucks)! You don't have to give a lot--even $1 is super wonderful. And it's tax deductible :)

General: Do your part in the fight against cancer but joining members of the Rice and Houston communities for the Relay For Life of Houston-Texas Medical Center!
April 17-18, 7 PM-7 AM
Rice Track/Soccer Stadium

Email: relaytmc@gmail.com

Each year, across the nation, one event brings together entire communities to take part in the fight against cancer. That event is the American Cancer Society Relay For Life®. It’s a time and place where people come to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives. Won’t you join us this year and be a part of Relay? It’s not just an opportunity to celebrate, remember, and fight back your involvement will help the American Cancer Society work toward a mission of eliminating cancer as major health issue and will support much-needed services in your community. Thanks in part to the donations from Relay For Life and other events, the Society is saving lives, helping those touched by cancer, and empowering people to fight this disease all over the world.

[3] ----- Pictures for the Yearbook -----
Hey everyone,

Please send me any pictures you have through the year that would be good for the yearbook! I'd love to be able to get as many Will Ricers included as possible, and I can't take pictures off facebook (the resolution isn't high enough), so I NEED your help!

Just email me back (the image share thing online is confusing -- this way is easier!) with the image attached as well as a description of the picture (what it is and who is in it). I'm looking for any pictures from the year, but just so you get an idea what the pages will be, our layouts are:

OWeek
College Nights
Will Rice Will Skate
Will Rice Day
Will Rice Sports
Beer Bike
Will Ricers through the year (you can send pictures from spring break or anything here!!)

Thanks!!!
Maggy

EQ/HACER BOOK DRIVE

The EQ/HACER Book Drive will be ending THIS FRIDAY (April 17).

Please turn in any books (including textbooks) that you are willing to donate to the HACER office, located in the RMC Basement. All books collected will be given to the underprivileged youth of the local Weekley Family YMCA branch. Thank you so much for your support!

[6] ----- Hu-Med Ghana Drive -----
Hey Will Rice !

As you begin to pack for move out do you ever find that you have tons of unused soaps, deodorants, lotions or other hygiene items? Well, don't throw them out! Donate them to the Hu-Med Ghana drive! We are collecting hygienic items in order to create care packages for orphans in Kpando Ghana. We hope to raise enough items to have one package for every orphan in the community orphanage.

We have a box set up in the WRC game room right next to the pool table.

Any unused hygiene item you have would be greatly appreciated! And if you aren't sure... donate it anyways!!!

If you have any questions you can e-mail me at ymh1@rice.edu
