[2] ----- missing football + found iPod -----
Hi!

During the prospie mixer in the quad, Punya and I provided a football (among other things) for people to throw around, and we can't find it anywhere.
It's rented from the autry, so it should be labeled "rice rec center" or "LPAP". If anyone has it or sees it, could they tell either me or Punya?

Thanks!

Jen Chan

Also, IPOD FOUND IN WEINER HOLE

An ipod nano in a black case with a belt clip was found in the weiner
hole several days ago. It is in Joyce's office.

[3] ----- CLEAR OUT 40's and 50's basements -----
Will Rice,

Because of the amount of work that needs to be done concerning storage for next year, the 40's and 50's basements need to be cleared of all items. If you have anything down there, please help us out and remove it by this Monday, April 13th. Anything left after Monday may be moved around and mixed in with items deemed disposable. If you have any belongings that you do not have a place for right now and you know you want to store over the summer, email jer3@rice.edu so that those items can be set aside and remain stored properly until the PODS are available for summer storage. Anything left in the basements after the 19th will be thrown away.

Thanks guys,

eddie reyes

11th - from 7-9 pm.

this Friday (TODAY).

[7] ----- $2 dollar a day challenge -----
Betcha didn't know that half of the world’s population subsists on less than 2 dollars a day. That's almost 3 billion people! To make a small dent in this problem, Rice Microfinance and Engineers without Borders are teaming up next semester to undergo the 2 dollar a day challenge. In a combination fundraiser/university challenge, we'll live in a small shantytown in front of Brochstein Pavilion on less than 2 dollars a day. The shantytown will be modeled on actual conditions, with typical living arrangements, as well as exhibits of clinics, indoor stoving, and other accessories.

Those who want to experience this and raise awareness/funds for global poverty will be required to meet a fundraising goal; monies will go towards whatever humanitarian club or cause you want! If you're interested in understanding the very real challenges half the world goes through, come to our info session at Keck 100, April 12th 8 pm! We'll also have some really good refreshments!

[9] ----- Flying Owls 5k Saturday 8-9:30am -----
Hello,
This email is to remind the Rice community that the Flying Owls 5k will be held on campus this weekend April 11, starting at 8:30am. The run will be closing several exits on campus for approximately 1.5 hours between 8am and 9:30am. Expected participation will be around 150 people.

Affected entrances are 1, 4, 3, 17, 18, and 20. Officers will be at each of these entrances to control and minimize traffic.

If you have any questions about access to campus during these times, please contact Sgt. Spears (gspears@rice.edu) or AJ Beard (ajbeard@rice.edu).

If you would like to participate in the 2009 5k (to raise funds for fitness and recreation programming on campus), you can still do so. More information is available here: http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~ricerec/fitness/flying_owls_5k.html.

Thank you,
AJ Beard
