[3] ----- Help Train EMS -----On April 11, Rice EMS will be holding its annual drill for the students of our EMT-Basic class, known as Extrication Day. The students will be pitted against real-world scenarios involving a variety of injuries, diseases, and emergencies.
We're looking for VOLUNTEERS to act as patients and difficult bystanders during the scenarios. You'll be moulaged with injury makeup including fake blood & broken bones, fed a free lunch, and you'll have a blast acting injured or sick and making life difficult for our EMTs-in-training.
If you're interested in learning more about EMS or just want to be covered in realistic injuries to scare your friends, please email s.price@rice.edu. You'll be needed from about 11:45am to 4pm, and you'll eat lunch, prepare for your scenario and then the fun begins.
Please volunteer! It helps out REMS and you're guaranteed to have a great time. Please tell us in advance about any dietary restrictions or if you prefer not to be moulaged.
